Find Out What’s Actually Broken — Before You Spend a Dollar Fixing It.
Most companies that come to me already know something isn’t working. Knowing something is broken and knowing what to fix are two different problems. The assessment is how we figure out the second one.
Book a 30-Minute CallA diagnostic, not an audit
A 2–3 week engagement. I come in, review your current state, interview the people who actually own the data day-to-day, and deliver a specific, prioritized roadmap. Not a generic audit. Not a slide deck full of industry benchmarks. A concrete plan — here’s what’s broken, here’s what it’s costing you, here’s the order to fix it.
Five areas. All examined in depth.
- Data sources and connections Where is your data living? How does it move? Where does it stop moving and what does someone do manually to compensate?
- Current reporting process Where is your team’s time actually going? I’m looking for the steps that shouldn’t exist — the Friday afternoon export, the Google Sheet that one analyst maintains, the report that gets rebuilt from scratch every month.
- KPI definitions and gaps What are you measuring? What does it actually mean? I’ve sat in rooms where two people used the same metric term to mean two different things, and neither of them knew it.
- Tool stack Are you using what you’re paying for? Most mid-size companies are either significantly underusing their existing tools or running redundant systems that contradict each other.
- Marketing ops and prospecting workflow How are leads getting generated, qualified, and handed off? Where does the data trail break down between marketing and sales?
Four specific outputs
Workflow Map
Shows where time and trust are leaking in your current process — annotated with the actual cost of each gap.
KPI Audit
What you’re tracking, what’s missing, what’s being measured incorrectly, and what you’re paying to track that doesn’t affect any decision you actually make.
Prioritized Roadmap
What order makes sense and what you can expect each step to return. Some fixes take a day; some take three months. The roadmap tells you both.
Go/No-Go Recommendation
If I come in and what I find is that you have a capable analytics team with the wrong priorities, I’m going to say that. If you can fix this internally, I’ll tell you what to focus on.
Three situations where this is the right first step
Good fit
- You know something’s broken but aren’t sure where to start. You have a symptom but not a diagnosis.
- You’ve been through a failed implementation and want to understand why before trying again.
- You’re evaluating whether to invest in a larger engagement and want to know what it would actually involve.
Not a fit
- You already have a clear diagnosis and an agreed-on fix. Start with the Analytics Rebuild instead.
- You need implementation only — the strategy work is done.
